Now that summer is here, renderings of NoMad’s upcoming residential towers are springing up left and right. The latest addition is 281 Fifth Avenue, which is being developed by Victor Homes and Lend Lease, and designed by renowned architect Rafael Vinoly.

Vinoly is behind some of New York’s newest additions to the skyline, including the towering 432 Park Avenue, soaring 1,396 feet. At 52 stories, rising to 705 feet, 281 Fifth won’t be nearly as tall, but it will embody the sleek simplicity for which Vinoly is known. Ceiling heights will increase as the floors increase, adding a sense of dynamic movement to the tower.

According to permits filed by Victor Homes in May, the building will contain 141 condos, 7,900 square feet of ground and second floor retail space.  Apartments will contain an average of 1,500 square feet apiece, with full-floor apartments on floors eight, forty-nine and fifty. There will be a private gym, spa, lounge and library for residents.

281 Fifth Avenue sits directly across from another newly revealed tower, 126 Madison Avenue. Both towers will reach over 700 feet, adding diversity to NoMad’s skyline.
