Curbed continues its coverage of the NoMad District’s development boom with a recently published article summarizing the neighborhood’s surging real estate industry.

The article, entitled “Mapping NoMad’s Next Wave of Game-Changing New Projects,” highlights over 20 different ongoing and newly completed construction projects — developments that are contributing to NoMad’s reputation as a great place to live and work. While the article calls the developments “game-changing,” NoMad’s residents and businesses know that the game has been going strong for a long time. If anything, the neighborhood is recapturing the central role it occupied in city life during the Gilded Age.

We have covered many of these changes before, including the conversion of 10 Madison Square Park West into high-end condos, the celebrated plans for the Virgin Hotel, and 242 Fifth Avenue’s conversion into a small apartment building. It also notes ongoing renovations at Martha Washington Hotel, which is home to Danny Meyer’s popular pizzeria, Marta.
